FAQ

Is QuietDropper free?

Yes. It's free on Microsoft Edge Add-ons, with no account, no ads and no trial.

What color formats can I copy?

HEX (like #4F46E5), RGB and HSL. Pick your format in the popup; it's remembered.

Why doesn't it ask to "read and change all your data on all websites"?

It uses the activeTab permission, so it can only see the tab you're on, and only after you click its icon or press its shortcut. It never runs in the background on the pages you browse.

Does it send my screenshots or colors anywhere?

No. The extension makes no network requests. The still image used for picking stays in memory on your device and is thrown away when you finish. Only your recent colors and format choice are saved, locally.

Why doesn't it work on some pages?

Browsers don't let any extension run on built-in pages (like edge:// pages) or the add-ons store. If a page scrolls or changes while picking, press Esc and pick again.

Is there a Firefox or Chrome version?

Right now it's available on Microsoft Edge. Other stores may come later.
